From the very unclear description, I believe it means that, to take the example from my previous post, men were 88.31% more likely to put Ween on their lists. Whether that means more likely than women, or more likely than the aggregate, is unclear. (And I take it that the fact that the highest distinction index from women was only 35.68% is less about the P4kian hivemind than an effect of the low average participation by women.)

Neither approaches anything near what my ideal list would be, indeed. (Insular indie navelgazing is hardly an exclusively male phenomenon.) But given my preference for female voices and my knee-jerk antipathy towards metal, I’d rather go with the list that has Lykke Li on it.

I dunno. Even the hip-hop isn’t exactly full of bangers, and I’m too ginger with my body to headbang anymore.
