Buy My Books!

First off, apologies: I’m going to be reposting this several times over the weekend, so as to collect as many eyeballs as I can.

Second, that link goes to a spreadsheet that lists all the books I’m getting rid of right now. (I may get rid of more later; that list is a little less than half of my current library.) Before I lug them around to the used-book bins around town, I’m offering them right now to Tumblr at mostly under-$5 prices, with the exception of the few things that are actually worth a little bit (not that I’ve checked everything; if you’re a dealer, I guarantee there are some outright steals). But I bet if you email me with tales of financial hardship and consuming booklust I could be persuaded to send them for shipping.

This is a great chance to very, very cheaply pick up:

  • Classic modernist fiction in paperback
  • Early-20th century popular fiction in hardback
  • 2000s artcomix
  • Great comics for kids
  • Christian and Catholic theology
  • Etc.

Give it a once-over, anyway; I bet there’s something you’d be interested in.

If you want to know about condition, email me and I’ll be frank. A handful of these books are falling apart, mostly old and brittle paperbacks in the Comics section.

(Oh, and if you find any typos or errors, keep them to yourself. I paid my sister five dollars an hour to do the cataloging, and she did exactly as much as she was paid for.)

I’m getting rid of all these books because I’m trying to move to a city where a) it isn’t inhumanly hot, b) I don’t need a car to get around, c) I can afford to live, and d) I can find work. Right now I have too much stuff to move, and getting rid of some of it is as much of a priority as pulling together some cash is. So thanks for your help with either of those things!
